SERVICE / ASSESS · REPAIR · VERIFY

Hot melt repairs & rebuilds.

A leaking module, an applicator that no longer dispenses consistently, or a melter with a heating fault. Tell us what changed. We assess the assembly and agree a repair scope before work begins.

WHAT WE REPAIR

The component sets the scope.

Repair is not one standard procedure. The work depends on the fault, component condition and available technical information. These are the areas we assess with you.

Tanks & melters

Potential repair scope
Cleaning, sealing work and assessment of heating and delivery assemblies.
What we review
Adhesive contamination, leaks, heating symptoms and the condition of the tank and connections.

Applicators & manifolds

Potential repair scope
Cleaning adhesive passages, replacing serviceable seals and rebuilding the agreed assembly.
What we review
Application irregularities, body condition, pneumatic operation and connection points.

Dispensing modules

Potential repair scope
Cleaning, seal replacement and work on worn components where repair is feasible.
What we review
Leakage, moving-part condition, actuation and dispensing behaviour.

Heated hoses

Potential repair scope
Condition assessment and review of repair or replacement options.
What we review
Connections, external damage and the reported heating or flow fault. Not every hose can be repaired.

Pumps

Potential repair scope
Adhesive pump rebuilds, seal replacement and manufacture of new gears for gear pumps. We agree the scope after assessing the assembly.
What we review
Gear and housing wear, seal condition and operating requirements: pressure, flow rate and temperature.

Nozzles

Potential repair scope
Assessment of contamination and wear; cleaning or replacement where suitable.
What we review
Outlet geometry, thread, adhesive and the required application pattern.

Heaters

Potential repair scope
Assessment and selection of replacement heaters or temperature sensors where required.
What we review
Electrical specification, dimensions, connections and the wider assembly.

Safety valves

Potential repair scope
Safety valve repair and set-pressure adjustment in accordance with the applicable requirements of the ISO 4126 series.
What we review
Valve type and reference, required set pressure, medium, temperature and manufacturer documentation.

Filters and seals can be included in the parts requirement. Cleaning, replacement or reuse is decided from condition and application; not every item is a rebuild candidate.

REPAIR PROCESS

Clear decisions before work starts.

  1. 01

    Describe the fault

Share the equipment reference, symptoms and available photographs. We clarify the information needed for assessment.

  2. 02

    Agree the assessment

Where inspection is needed, agree shipment and assessment arrangements first. We review condition and repair feasibility.

  3. 03

    Approve the work

Confirm proposed work, components, test scope and timing. Any change to the agreed scope needs review.

  4. 04

    Check & return

Carry out the agreed checks, communicate the outcome and arrange return of the assembly.

AFTER THE REBUILD

The test must match the application.

A visual inspection alone cannot answer every question. We agree which checks are relevant and achievable for the assembly, and what information or equipment is needed to perform them.

Bench checks are limited to the agreed conditions. They do not replace installation, commissioning or process validation on your production line.

  • Leak checks

Sealing and connections under the agreed test conditions.

  • Functional checks

Movement, actuation or delivery behaviour relevant to the repair.

  • Heating response

Heating and temperature response where included in the scope.

  • Visual & dimensional checks

Condition, assembly and relevant dimensions against the available reference.

Give the assessment a head start.

You do not need a complete technical file to make the first enquiry. Send what you have and clearly mark what is unknown.

Please agree the receiving address and preparation requirements with STT before shipping equipment. The published business addresses are not automatic repair-delivery instructions.

Equipment
Type, reference number and photographs of the component and connections.
Symptoms
What fails, when it started and whether the fault is continuous or intermittent.
Process
Adhesive or medium, operating temperature, pressure and relevant control settings.
Recent changes
Maintenance, replaced parts, material changes and any fault codes.
Priority
Requested date, production impact and shipping location.

FAQ

Repair enquiries, answered

Can you quote from a photograph?

Photographs help us make an initial assessment. Internal wear and damage may only become visible during inspection. We explain what must be checked before a repair scope and price can be confirmed.

When is replacement more appropriate than repair?

The decision depends on damage, parts availability, technical feasibility and the required operating conditions. Where repair is unsuitable, we can review supply or manufacturing options without assuming they are interchangeable.

What tests will my component receive?

We agree the checks for the particular assembly before the work. Depending on scope, these may include leak, functional, heating, visual or dimensional checks. Ask for the required conditions and outcome format in your enquiry.

How long will the repair take?

Timing is confirmed after the scope and required components are known. Share your requested date and production impact at the start. We do not promise a fixed turnaround before assessment.

Can I ship the equipment straight away?

Contact us first. We need to agree the receiving location, identify the shipment and clarify any preparation or handling requirements. Do not assume a listed office address accepts repair deliveries.

Do you work beyond hot melt?

Yes. You can also enquire about industrial seals, metal filters, custom components and engineering support. Share the application so we can confirm what is within scope.
